My eyeshadow always creases and I've used UD primer before but I ran out! it works well but it pricey... I was just wondering if there's anything out there that works the same for a better price! thanks! Xx

Oh god, I don't think I've ever tried a drugstore eye primer...the Maybelline 24/7 eye color tattoo cream shadow's in Barely Branded and Bad to the Bronze would be great neutral primers. Oh! And the NYX jumbo eye pencils are great primers, the shade Milk works beautifully for bright shadows. You just have to really blend out, you don't want to pile it on. I guess I have tried some drugstore primers! Lol.

Do you have a Nordstrom rack? They sell the UD primer for $8..and if you decide to get a different primer make sure it says primer if it doesn't say primer its considered a Base and that will crease.

Colette, I have to disagree, it's all about how you apply the bases. They can be used as primers when applied carefully and thinly and will help shadow and pigments not crease this way. They WILL crease if applied too heavily. Bases make color last and stand out, those two products I mentioned are multipurpose which is why I referred to them as primers.

All I can recommend is Too Faceds primer but I think it's about the same price wise.. I bought the professional size UD primer for 35 bucks I believe and it's lasted me a year and a half so far. I think it's a good investment.

L'oreal Paris De-Crease works better than urban decay, at least for me

I agree bases still crease. Primers are the only ones that prevent that. My favs are UD and Too Faced but I've read positive reviews about NYX primer. I think theirs sells for less than $7.

Definetly have to agree with the other ladies here, NYX is a very good option for a primer. [=

To each their own. I use color tattoo as primer/bases because they don't crease at all on me. NYX pencils do require a primer because they do crease, at least on me. A good primer helps reduce oil on the eyelid and like someone else said, prepare the eye for shadow. UD is good, but I get just as good results with a color tattoo barely beige (if you can find it) looks shimmery, but actually goes on pretty matte for me. Too faced is excellent as well, but about the same price. ELF's is pretty good (the regular one not the mineral primer). You can also use an oil free foundation, but use a light hand. That last trick was my moms.
