Pencil...the Sephora brand is amazing! :) I'm starting liquid liner, but I haven't gotten it perfect yet. I think it's harder to use.

I use them all, but gel is my favorite because it looks the strongest without cracking like some liquids do. But pencil is the best if you want it to look kind of smoky.

I use gel normaly but recently I have been using a mat black shadow with a liner brush. it sinks in to the lash line better than a pencil, you can add more to increase strength of colour and it blends amazing :)
