Whatever you do don't do pointy nails. My mom and I can't stand them because they don't look good. Also, if you work it doesn't look professional. Keep them rounded at least. The squarely rounded shape is nice.

You have to get them long and then cut them in the shape you want and then use a file. It's pretty easy :)

If you filed your nails into a pointed shape like in the picture this would make the nail weaker and more prone to breaking

I don't cut my nails because I mess up easier so I just file them. Usually to see if they're evenly shaped, I'll look at them in mirror. It helps me see anything uneven :)
