I think dip dye would be great as well! just bleach the ends and remember not to have the bleach in to long. then just do a dip dye. put color at half the bleached hair (the ends) and after 10 minutes maybe add color in the rest of the bleached hair for nice blending effect :)

You could do your underneath red and top black- it's probs the easiest to do yourself. just work out how much you want red and tie up the rest on top of your head. then you need to bleach and dye it (it's best to do this straight after the other coz it can be hard to re-seperate the layer) if you dye it black it might be best to use a stripper first if not just bleach it, one you've left that on for the required time wash it out really really well, use shampoo (do not use conditioner) and just make sure it's washed out completely- then dye it red =] oh also you should wash it with baby shampoo before and after you bleach- it balances the PH level of your hair, making the dye take better and more evenly =] hope this helps =]
