Take multivitiamins and eat well, drink tons of water, avoid using too much heat- blow dry on a low heat and wash with lukewarm water =] also get your split ends trimmed regularly =] it's a long process - I feel your pain haha.

I agree with hazel, also use vegan hair products with no silicone. growing out your hair will require simple routine changes. along with less heat, also be aware that your hair is most vulnerable when wet. avoid brushing it and do not scrub your scalp when shampooing.

I second Hazle! I always tell ladies its not what you put into your hair but what you put into your body. you are what you eat and if you arent eating healthy don't expect your hair to be as healthy as you want it. lol but taking care of your hair from the outside is important to restore its strength and making sure it is strong. use a deep conditioning masque twice a week. I got mine from sallys beauty supply. its called macadamia deep conditioning hair masque. its $13 but MUCH less than the name brand junk that leaves your hair greasy.

In my beauty salons we did something called High Frequency treatments. They are a 5-minute session that really does get the scalp circulation going and does speed up the rate of hair growth. you need to do a treatment at least once a week, and 3 times a week is fabulous. Try calling up beauty schools in your area and see if they offer them. Good nutrition is a given, and I would add fish oil supplements to your diet.
