My clothing style before was super preppy. Considering I live in manhattan and go to private school, I just don't even know what style to do now, but I definitely want change from everyone else.

Mix styles.. Like you don't have to have a specific style.. One day you can have a bohemian trend and then a rocker style with fake leather pants.. I personally like to keep people guessing ;)

Honestly, I find the freshest style is "recycled" from old, hip, and iconic styles... they don't even have to be all at once. I take a lot of my styles from "old" bands and people think I have the new image. I'll take styles from old iconic characters, films, whatever and people think I am sophisticated. Mix the two and you have a wonderful meld of "fresh" styles. Its really about taking things that inspire you and turning it into something new and unseen by the kids of today. As a fashion designer, I used to employ this method and I was ALWAYS ahead of the trends, while still being relevant. Do what you whatever it is that you want to do and make it your own! You always look amazing when you own your style and believe in it, it makes for a cool and unique idea that people really want to see and follow.

My suggestion is do not copy trends. Just go with whatever you feel comfortable with.

Mix it up. Never have a one particular style I just think that's boring and predictable. one day be girly another edgy or bohemian, Play up styles you like and modify them to your liking.
