Help!! I always put on really pretty colors of eyeshadow but they always look really powdery like I mixed it in with baby powder. I have tried Avon, ELF, Rimmel, and many other brands so I know it's not the product itself. Anyone else have the same problems? Do you know how to get rid of it? Anything... Thanks (sorry it's long)

I also think you should try using a primer or even a creme eyeshadow as a base. these make a big difference especially if youre using eyeshadows that arent very smooth/velvety in texture. chalky eyeshadows give you that powdery look, especially if youre not using some sort of primer/base.

Use loreal infalliable or mayblinne tattoo eye shadows they aren't powdery at all :)

A primer will definitely help, or a cream eyeshadow, you could try using the powder wet (google it). also what do you use to apply the eyeshadow. as you said you know its not the product itself, try using different eyeshadow brushes and play around with different technichs.

I put a little bit of foundation on my lids that seems to help some.. I also just started using maybellene tattoo eye shadow, I put it on under my powder shadow. I use the white, this way I can put it on under any color powder. it really makes the color pop & by putting the powder over the cream, the cream doesnt get all creasey in the crease. lol.

Nyx hd eye primer is awesome, it may help, I may be in the minority here, but I think it could be some.of the shadows you're using, also use a flat eyeshadow brush to push the pigment onto your eyes, avoid fluffy brushes (only use those to blend)... and try nyx shadows (the individual ones are the best) or loreal shadows...

Try using a setting spray such as mac's fix+ over your eyeshadow. this will help with the makeup looking too chalky.
