Try it on the inside of your wrist, when you find the same shade then get the shade darker as your face will be darker than your wrist

Maybe you just need to look at different brands? It's possible the one you're using doesn't have your specific colour, I've found that before

If you dont know what foundation to use their are websites that can match your skin tone to the colour of foundation you need also you put the foundation on the inside of the wrist because that tends to be the colour of your face!
