Have you tried tea tree? I am 25 and was using proactiv and it helped for a while and birth control pills helped also, but I broke out horribly since switching forms of birth control. The proactiv helped for a while then stopped. I was recommended to try tea tree and I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and I am loving it! I broke out for a few days after switching off proactiv but it cleared pretty quickly and my face has had only one or two easily covered acne spots since! My acne used to hurt really bad, but since switching it hasn't. I would recommend looking into it! I got mine from The Body Shop! U can order online if you don't have a store near you. I use the cleanser, toner, and day moisturizer and I also have the mask and night lotion, all of which I love!

Olivia - yeah I read that too! Right now out air is pretty clean and I've tried the humidifier and still the same dang cheek breakouts! :( I'm trying the witch hazel to balance it out. It made my skin texture smoother and a bit more even but does nothing to heal or prevent my breakouts. I feel like I'm doomed with this skin forever :/

Erin, thank you so much for your reply! Currently I'm using tea tree oil to try and treat active breakouts but it doesn't do much for me.. :( are you talking about the whole tea tree line from the body shop? Did it clear your skin?

Have you tried cleansing your skin with just baking soda and water?

Yeah I am talking about the cleanser, toner, and day lotion and night lotion and mask. I still have one or two zits on my face but it did clear most of it up! (I had at least 5-10 at a time) and I have noticed that the zits I have been getting dont last long at all and aren't really red so they are much better than before. My acne before would literally take weeks to heal and go away, and my proactiv I was using caused me to get acne scars :( but I have noticed since I started using the tea tree night lotion my scars have decreased a LOT and my overall skin tone looks a lot more even and almost looks like its glowing, I have only been using the line for 3 weeks though so I hope I continue he to see great results, it's definitely something to look into. I read a lot of reviews before deciding to try it. Most everyone had positive things to say about it, saying with continued consistent use, it will dramatically clear your skin, there are a lot of good reviews for clearing adult acne :) sorry for such the long post! Lol hope it helps.

Also, I've heard cutting or limiting dairy in your diet can help acne, also taking a primrose oil capsule! The suggested dose is 1 capsule 3 times a day, I found that was too much for me so I started only taking one a day and it could also be helping with clearing my acne, plus it's a great all around thing to take for women's health, try looking up the benefits of primrose oil as well :)

A homemade face mask made out of manuka honey and lemon worked amazing for me. I had acne on my cheeks too and it went within a few weeks. why not make an appointment with the doctors and ask for antibiotics? they help clear up acne too.

Brenda - I haven't! I heard of that one but never tried it. Does it work to clear acne well? How often are you supposed to cleanse with it? Thank you for the recommendation :)

Erin - sweet. I really appreciate your input! I'm going to definitely look into the tea tree line at the body shop. I hope it works. Do they have a pretty good return policy if it doesn't? Thanks again! :)

Contact your doctor, get a prescription for Elidel. use sparingly, but twice a day morning and night.. rub a thin layer on. Should go away within a couple days.

Taslima - I haven't tried that exact combo mask yet, I'll definitely give it a try! I made an appointment with a doctor, it's in a month... I hope they can fix my skin because its taking a toll on me :(
