Wash your face thoroughly by splashing water on it several times. Gently dab at the excess around your eyes and try to wipe your lashes. Rub a little bit of baby oil around your eyes for about 30 seconds then rinse. Then wash your face again to make sure you have everything clean then gently pat it dry. (:

When using any kind of makeup remover on your eyes, even olive oil, try wiping with a soft cloth or cotton ball from the inside corner of your eye to the outside along the lashline. Seems to work for most eye makeup I use.

Vichy one step cleanser and makeup remover. or Garnier face wipes! or typical fragrance free hypoallergenic baby wipes if you have sensitive skin. and they work wonders.
