I can only wash my hair with somethin light like head + shoulders, I wash twice using no conditioner as it makes my hair greasy, I blow dry hair with head upside down sometimes using mousse but even after using hairspray (I've tried loads) the volume only lasts a little while, I can't keep backcombing anymore as it is killing my hair. Any suggestions please : )

Try the John Frieda Root Lift spray! It worked wonders for my hair.

Maybe add some layers to your hair for more lift... Change up shampoos every so often and try volumizing shampoo..you can apply some conditioner to the ends of your hair only or condition first then shampoo.. And yes a root spray will help too...try not to wash your hair everyday and on days you don't (or even do) use a volume dry shampoo like Oscar Balandi that's one of my fav... And your doing good with blow drying upside down and finish touch ups right side up!:)

Very good advice from the person above me. A cut with layers will make your hair lighter so you can have more body. Also don't shampoo too much because you are stripping your scalp of oils causing it to produce more oils to compensate for what was lost. So get layers, shampoo less, and condition only the ends. Good luck!
