Hello! anyone got good tips on keeping your colour from lightening? I was bleached blonde few months back but because my hair was in damaged central I took the plunge of going to the dark side which I love but about a week after I do my dark brown colour the blonde is trying to fight back through my hair! any tips on how to keep it dark for longer?well longer then week anyway!? I do my colour once a month and the 5th round is coming up! x

Did you use a filler? When you bleach your hair you'll notice it goes from dark to various shades of red orange and yellow and those colors are the pigments that naturally make up your hair. In order for a dark color to stick over bleached hair you need to put those lost pigments back in your hair.

Use a protein filler when you color your hair...wash your hair as little as you can get away with... When you do wash use a color safe sulphate free shampoo and conditioner and always use cool water

I agree with Tiffany. Porous hair tends to absorb a lot of color at the outset and lose it very quickly. Bleached hair should always be treated with protein conditioner on a regular basis.
