So I'm thinking of buying proactive but I'm not sure if it works! I've seen the commercials but don't believe if it works! Does it really give clear skin, does it really get rise of the pores and blackheads? And does it have any side affects that can hurt me?

I don't remember how well it worked but I do remember that it caused my ex to become super depressed and suicidal. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Proactive does work, however not for everyone. A lot of people find themselves sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. The ingredient works well on active, but tends to irritate and dry the skin. Some people tolerate it very well and they see big improvement. I guess the only way to know is to try. If your skin starts to look red, flaky , itchy and irritated, stop using it. There are other alternatives out there. Dermalogica, and SkinCeuticals are my favorites.
And for the record, no skin care product will make you depressed or suicidal.

Actually yes they can, depending on their chemical makeup, just like other medications. It doesn't have to be oral to affect you, it still absorbed.

I know two people who's faces broke out with burn like blisters, and it made their face smell like strong chemicals. I guess it depends on your skin!!

I got it maybe three weeks ago and personally I don't think it's as good as many people say. My skin has a good few spots (not proper acne though) and it cleared them for a whole but I found it broke out the rest of my skin and made it dry, you should try dermalogica!:)

Proactive helped with my acne but cause terrible acne scars, so I wouldn't recommend it.

It clears your skin but once you stop using that you will break out again. In my case it is worst after using proactive.

For me, it worked amazing the first couples months. Then after a while I felt like it wasn't doing a good job anymore. It became less effective on me. Plus it bleaches anything that touches your face afterwards.. I've ruined many towels and comforters that way :/ beware

Everyone is telling you the bad things about it. But to be honest, we don't know because it depends. It can burn my skin but make yours amazing. It depends what kind of skin you have. There are some skin care products for certain type skins like Skin ID. And they personalize it to your skin type, condition, stress, and severity of acne/blemishes. So it really depends on the type of skin you have because it depends on the person.

It didn't work at all for me, on top of that, they kept charging me even when I had shut off my order.

I had a HORRIBLE reaction to it and broke out even worse. I was dedicated and used it on time but it just didnt work. TERMINATOR 10. Is cheap, perfect, awesome, and amazing, I've used it for a year and havent had a major break out since. Its great not feeling like I have to use it on a regular basis (just an ointment on problematic spots once a night or everyother or everywhere!) its soooo much cheaper than proactiv. Grab it at any drugstore or grocery store!!

I used it for over a year and it worked for a long time but then it stopped working so I searched for a new system. I decided to try the tea tree line from the body shop and I am SO glad I did! I broke out a few days after switching but it cleared up fast and my face has never looked better!

Proactive worked for me. I've been using it for 6 years and still love it. But I find myself only using the first step on it and if I really need it, I use the refining mask.

Pro-Active has only been out in England for like a year or so so it's still fairly new. I tried it as soon as it come out because it was so widely advertised I felt like it was worth it! Honestly my face suffered from it so much. The first 2 weeks went well and I was kind of happy with the results but then I found my skin became so dry and irritated. It made my face extra sensitive :( even certain make up would break me out so it became a vicious circle. I tried and tested for just under 2 months and unfortunately when I stopped using it my skin became the worst it has ever been! I purchased a clarasonic about 3-4 months ago and it has helped tremendously! Its so light and soft. Unlike proactive which is just straight up harsh checmicals.

The first time I used it, it did great. Then I used it like a year later and it broke me out. Very weird. Maybe they changed their chemicals.

My brother's friend tried it and it was terrible! I think it depends. Maybe you should conduct a skin test first. Ask around if they give out samples. :)

My friend tried it and it worked for her until she stopped using it, you need to use it continuously for best results

Obviously everyone has had different experiences, and you can never be sure until you try it. What most people don't realise though is that you MUST moisturise after you apply the last step because the repair mask is in no way a moisturiser :). When you first buy it they send you small little travel bottles, so you can try it, and you can always return it if it doesn't work. I use it and it works for me :) good luck.

Yes just give it time to do its magic and follow the steps.
