Kayso I've had this problem for a long time. My nose is filled with blackheads and my chin has a lot of whiteheads; I've used pore strips but they always come back.
Are there any home remedies or cheap drugstore products I can use?

I have the same problem but I have a lot of whiteheads. They always come back.. exfoliating doesn't help either. When I use porestrips they're gone but they come back the next day.

Pore strips dont work. I have blackheads on my nose and chin. Pore strips get the stuff off the surface, and there horribly for your skin.

Try putting your face over a pot of boiling water (of course no food in it!) do this for five minutes, then go to your mirror and use kleeex over your fingertips to extract all the gunk! Make sure your fingers r covered with a tissue and to keep switching out tissues periodically!

Blackhead eliminating daily scrub by neutrogena really helps me out, hope this helps :)

Katie R. has the best remedy. Extract the gunk out and make sure you use a toner/ astringent afterwards to close your pores back up.

Make a paste from baking soda with a bit of water and pat it onto your face. Leave it on for a few minutes then wash it off (or use it to scrub your face a bit, it's a great microdermabrasion) you'll feel it pulling 'stuff' out of your skin. I do it every day in the shower.

The thing to remember with blackheads is that you can't just treat them once and they're gone. They will come back if you don't use preventive maintenance, so to speak. This is what I do and it has reduced the problems I have, but everyone is different.
I start off with a scrub that has salicylic acid in it, rub it it and leave it for a min, scrub it again then rinse. I will extract what is easily removed. Then I use a clay mask. After rinsing that off I use a toner and then put tea tree oil where the blackheads were/are. This puts something good in the hole where the blackhead used to be and helps breakdown the ones left behind. Then I'll use my serum and then moisturize. I do this once a week.
Again, treat them once and they'll come back. You have to have a routine to prevent them. The trick is finding what works for you and that you can stick with.
