Don't wash it every night but also don't let it get dirty looking. My mom is a hair dresser so she always Keeps my dead ends cut off. Mostly just take good care off it. Don't use to much hair spray or other stuff ,and don't fry it or die it to much.!

I find hair bands wreck my hair and snap the thinner strands which gives me horrid flyaways. So I use clips instead, it makes a huge difference.

Never sleep on it bare unless you have a silk pillow case.. Always brush and comb from the bottom up.. Deep condition weekly or bi weekly, my hair is long enough to clip my ends or when I see a slit beginning.. Use sulfate free shampoo and conditioners. Try letting your hair air dry if possible to cause less heating damage if you use a flat iron.. I always go 1 week natural curly, the next week I flat iron straight.

When you wash your hair don't use hot water, use a leave in conditioner, and brush your hair with a wide tooth comb. And if you use heat make sure to use a heat protectant.

Hair masks obviously like a lot of people said but I like to make my own (way cheaper) try olive oil or mayo I know the mayo sounds gross but its sooo good for your hair! also to make it shiny rinse with either 1 cup of apple cider vinegar or a can of beer. weird I know but your hair is super shiny! do that after you rinse the conditioner out. the smell will go away if you rinse allllll of it out. good luck!

If you can, wash it every other day, use a dry shampoo if it starts to shine a bit. I love to use my Mane n' Tail on my hair because it doesn't really strip the moisture from my hair and the conditioner is made with coconut oil which is amazing for your hair. Nourishing your hair once a week with a mask would be ideal (leaving your favorite conditioner in your hair works too) but if you can't do that always keep a good hair regime, I add my gainer fructis oil from mid shaft down to make or shinny and strong and I do the same with my suave leave in conditioner that is also a heat protectant because I heat style my hair a lot. Also remember to start brushing hair at the bottom rather than the roots and using a wide tooth comb. You can also take biotin to keep it strong. Hope that helps <3 good luck

Hi I'm trying to grow out my hair and keep it healthy. One of the ways I do it is by not adding heat to my hair.. My hair is mostly in pony tails or braids and I wash it regularly and add a little oil in my hair to prevent breakage what can I do to help make my hair grow quicker and healthier?

Don't brush it when its wet. It's better to use a wide tooth comb or your fingers.

I'm with Nicole T! I love Organix and practically all of their products, I'm really loving the Moroccan Oil and Brazilian Keratin Therapy stuff at the moment. It works wonders for lifeless dull hair.

Make sure to use heat protectant every single time you use heat on your hair. I use tresseme thermal creations (I think that's what it's called?) but it works wonders. I use heat pretty much every day and my hair has stayed SO healthy.

Hi, personally I have long hair, and ontop of that I have a natural ombré ( dark brown hair with blonde tips >_< ). It can be stressful when you have dry hair or oily hair. People can persuade you to get expensive shampoos and conditioners. My parents would not invest in that, so I took my research further. I realized that doing hair masks with stuff you have at home can keep your hair healthy. For example, avocado, eggs, mayo, etc. You can look this up in YouTube for recipes of hair masks. One thing that has really helped my hair, well actually two is COCONUT OIL ( organic and extra virgin) , and almond oil. They can be pricey but, they last a very long time because you use it about 2 times a week. I do coconut oil masks once a week, and putting almond oil on my tips (dry hair) once a week. I know this is very long but, drink green tea and try not to get in contact with stuff containing heat a lot! Invest in a heat protector! Also let your hair air dry! Never comb it when it's wet :p sounds dumb I know! If you have any question please write it down! Hope this helped!
