Lighter does go well with darker skin tones but you really don't want to go lighter than your eyebrows it will look very unnatural. Maybe highlight it :) but in my personal opinion I loooooove dark hair colors but I think with your curly hair a really light ombré highlight would suit you.

I'm just scarred to dye my hair I don't want it to damage it but I defiantly want to try the ombré! Thank you for the help :)

Well with highlighting or ombré it may damage those strands of hair or the ends but it maybe better to try the ends first ip because that can always be cut. Don't try it yourself the first time go somewhere it will be worth the extra money. :) I boxed dyed my hair for the first time when I was 13 and it turned out orange worst thing I ever did to my hair.
