Eyelashes Keep Falling Out?!

My lashes have been shedding a lot lately. Is there a way to prevent this? and why is it happening? I'm just a teenager and I don't wear eye makeup everyday. my hair is also thinning out because of color and heat damage and cold weather drying it out... (it literally feels like hay sometimes. not exaggerating.) could my hair and lash fallout be connected? Please, someone help me!
