I tried milk of magnesia but it tends to lighten the skin and that really won't work well with BB cream which also tends to lighten my skin. pale face anyone?? I just bring blot papers everyday and steer clear of oily food.

Use a stronger moisturizer, and make sure that you also use a good toner (I love Clean & Clear's Astringent) before moisturizing. Products with SPF will make your skin look shiny in photos.
Keep blotting sheets with you at all times - it helps a lot!

I have a pretty oily T-zone as well. I use the MAC 'Prep and Prime' Transparent Pressed Finishing Powder throughout the day. It doesn't clump, look thick or crease and gives me a flawless look.
