How To Get My Hair More Straight?

I have naturally curly hair & I barley ever straighten it & when I do I can't do it myself with the straightener it either comes out frizzy & big I just don't like it I have to get it done at the salon is there anything I could do to make my hair more straight by using the flat iron so it won't come out frizzy any suggestions please help!!
