I just can't seem to do a perfect sock bun I don't like doing the messy ones cus my hair is so thick... Help!! ):
This was the best I could do but I still didnt like that you could see all my hair wrapped around

Because your hair is so thick, youre going to have some left over. Get a bigger doughnut, or try holding it at the end and rolling it up.
