How To Lighten Hair Color?

I have dark brown hair and want to go to a medium brown / chocolate color.. Any ideas?

I use Sun-In, but mine was light brown, almost blonde to begin with. I've got a dark haired friend that used it as well though when she used to play tennis. I am not certain on what it will do for dark brown hair. If you decide to try it,I would look into how it affects darker hair first.
