Go darker in stages to prevent weird hints or tinged of colour & while dying be sure to keep a close eye on how it's taking the dye (light processed hair can either not really take at all or immediately grab a colour & go much darker)

I would recommend going to a salon for this. Because it is VERY possible for you to go green. I'm a Paul Mitchell student and LOVE color! A beautiful medium brown on you would be Paul Mitchell the color 6N + 20 volume :)

I think you should definitely go to a professional bc I've seen some horror stories with box color. with your hair being so light it takes a lot to go darker because if you go too many shades darker it will just wash right out. A professional can use a filler so that the color does not come right out.

Jazmine I am a Kenneth shuler student. I think the 6n would look great on her but she's definitely going to need a filler.

I've been doing all my hair coloring since I was 14 so going to a salon is out of the question for me :P I just want to know what a good color to use is I don't use box colors I usually buy my stuff from my local beauty shop

Ask the women at the beauty shop you buy stuff at for their opinion. I'd stick with level 8 or 9 color then gradually go darker because your hair so.t hold the color if you go a lot darker all at once.

You want to avoid anything ash based. You also want to stay a shade or two lighter from the box than what you're looking for because your hair is porous and will grab color like crazy.
If it were me, I'd mix Revlon Colorsilk Buttercream in 54G (Light Golden Brown) and 73N (Medium Neutral Blonde) at a 1:3 ratio. It's ammonia free and the conditioner is quite nice.
