My sister in law tried everything as well she finally went to see a dermatologist the visit was $100 not including the prescriptions , she walked out of there with some antibiotics the size of a golf ball and he prescribed her something's that was very hard to find, it's worth it though to go ahead & see a dermatologist rather than spending money on things that's a waste, but I can say proactive was the worst thing she took it actually made her face worse...proactive is like crack to the face if it don't get it at its normal time and enought your face will overdose.

I feel you girl I had the worst acne but I got the neutrogena too but when you get it get the whole pack or if feel it doesn't work and do them in steps to and I broke out a lot cause of stress and hormones too so stay away from stressful things and get the whole package of neutrogena and make sure you put it on in the right steps.

I suffered from acne for years too, it's not easy to deal with.
I went to my doctor and he gave me some tablets and within two months it was pretty much gone and I didn't need to do anything except take one a night.
I recommend you go to a professional because if its been over a year by this point skin products alone won't make it go away.

This solution is expensive but I'm wondering why I didn't try it sooner. I recently just bought a Clarisonic and I am blissfully in love with it!! haha. In just a few days my skin already looks better. I have one or two spots left. I can't wait to use it when I wash my face. I'm still working out a set routine because its still new to me but I'm already pleased with the results. When I use my toner after there is NOTHING left on the cotton pad. Before there would be at least some dirt or makeup no matter how thorough I was. I can't believe I didn't get one sooner.
But its expensive so at the moment I understand it might not be an option. So I also recommend Philosophy's acne line. I love all of the stuff I've tried and use the Purity cleanser, Hope in a Jar moisturizer and spot treatment daily. The acne treatment lotion is amazing as well.

You need to see a Dermatologist. You need a trained professional to examine your skin and the kind of acne you have. There is no substitute for a medical professional and while it might take some time and he may have you try multiple items in the end you will see results and have found a tried and true method for you.
