My hair is the same way. it doesn't even want to curl with a curling iron! but I've found that using Beyond the Zone Pro Formula "The Scruncher" Or "Super Sexy" sprays work well. and they don't leave your hair crunchy Or sticky like some mousse Or regular hairspray.

After you shower Put some mousse in & French braid it right before you go to sleep! And then Take it out in the morning and scrunch it with more mousse! :)

Use redkens wool shake and diffuse hair (while scrunching) I've gotten three friends with super super straight hair to do this and they had the cutest waves :) it is a mattifying product (I don't know if that bothers you) but it's amazing.

After you shower mouse it and randomly scrunch it and put big hairclips to hold it. all over your head and leave that in for 15 or 20 minutes
