Gel Nails Newbie, Help!

So after finally having my first set of gel nails done I thought there is no way going back! Ha so splashed out & bought a home gel manicure kit, set me back a bit but thought it would save me money in long run! Anyway at my first go at it today, removing old, filing & buffering & then applying new ones, it was hard work! Please someone tells me it gets easier!? Any tips? X.
