Hi everyone :)
I'm naturally brown/black haired, currently my hair colour is more like chocolate. I want to dye my hair blu, I thought about LaRiche directions Turquoise. Anyone of you has some advices to give me? Like, would this colour fit me? Do I have to take care of it very often? Are there some products that you suggest me to use (shampoo, conditionder etc...)?

I think that would be really pretty. but since your hair is a darker color, it might turn out a little darker in blue. if you are planning on getting temporary color then wash your hair in cold water or itll fade fast because I had pink hair for a couple months and one day I forgot to turn the water cold and I lost most of the color. but the problem is once you turquoise starts to fade it turns to a greenish color. but I think that would be really pretty.

My sister and I have both dark brown hair and she died it blue. Some tips that we learned is wash your hair in cold water and use color safe shampoo. Something to note though is that you have to keep redying it often because it fades away. Hope some of this helps and if you need more I can ask my sister.

Make sure you use leave in shampoo because if you wash it often it fades fast. I have blue bangs right now and I have brown hair. So it would look cute :)

Thanks to everyone of you :)

@Savannah did your sister dye her hair on her own, or did she go to a salon?

Directions are ace! I use it for my red, but when I had blue hair I used stargazer. you'd have to bleach before you go blue (but you probs already know that lol) and it stays in quite well but you have to touch it up every two weeks or so =]

Also just so you know direction's turquoise really is turquoise (rather than blue) if you want it propper blue I'd get a different one, the neon blue is really nice- have a look online at how it turns out on different people =]

Oh and another thing, if you use a lot of hair spray or dry shampoo or product of any kind it actually seems to make it fade quicker (learnt that the first time I went blue haha) also- BLUE PILLOWS!! but if your not doing the whole head then that might not be too much of a problem =]

You're probably right Hazel, Turquoise is maybe not the perfect colour I want.
I want it to look like this one http://www.beautylish.com/f/gvjcvi (I hope this girl doesn't mind I use her hair as model :P), however I found out that in this photo it seems more blue rather then "green" because of the light, so I was wondering which dye I should use to reach that particular colour.

Make sure you don't look like aqua marine.

I think there's one called midnight blue that might come out that colour, it looks like she's used it over quite a dark colour though so I'm not sure, I've always bleached mine first. I get mine from a website called beeunique, they have all the colours and loads of example pics too, you should have a look =]

Oo that's a nice colour, looks likes she's dyed it over quite a dark colour so I'm not sure which colour would turn out like that cause I've always bleached first. they have one called midnight blue that might do it =] I get mine from a website called beeunique, they have all the colours and loads of example pics, you should have a look =]
