Use super skinny serum from Paul Mitchell and some worked up or gloss drops at the end :-)

Try a semi-permanent straightening solution like John Frieda 3-day straight. I'm pretty sure Garnier also makes one. But honestly, to make this work and make it work for an extended period of time, you really need to learn how to do a blow-out PERFECTLY. The point of blowouts is to flatten and seal the cuticle to avoid the frizz. If it's not perfect when you've finished one, it's certainly not going to be perfect 8 hours later, let alone days later.
You can also try Living Proof Straight Spray and Living Proof Prime Style Extender. I'm a big fan of Living Proof products. They work and the molecule they use is incredible...IMO much preferable to dumping more and more and more silicones on your hair.

I have the same problem. I did a bit of training as a hairdresser so I know how to blow dry properly, so I do that and then straighten it all in sections but no matter what, it goes frizzy when I go out and flicks out at the bottom... So what I've done is given up on it! Lol. I've now started blow drying it then using my straighteners to curl the bottom half and then spraying the top half and putting heated rollers in (if I do my full head with heated rollers it springs up too much cos of my hair length, but if your hair's long you could just do the whole thing. I do straighten the roots at the top before I put my rollers in. You should give it a go, it's so easy, just pop the rollers in, do your makeup while you wait for them and that's it other than any back combing and spraying afterwards if you need it. Straightening curly, stubborn hair is probably not worth the effort if its just gonna go frizzy again. For some reason what I do now seems to last for days x

Honestly you should NOT have to go back over your hair with a straight iron on a good blow dry. It sounds like you're not getting enough tension on the brush or you're using the wrong brush entirely. A lot of tutorials I've seen use rather large round brushes, but when you're doing it yourself I find you have a lot more control if you use a smaller, more like 1/2" one. I don't even go back and straighten the curls/frizzies at my temple because I can get them pin straight with a small round brush. Rollers are definitely more for volume than straightening itself.
Kristen: "What's that" what? If you'd like me to clarify something I'm happy to, but there are several things I mentioned.

Yeah I meant try them instead of straightening :) if its proving hard to keep your hair straight it's probably better to find a different look that's easier to do that stays looking nice rather than getting it straight and then feeling like crap when it's gone frizzy after half an hour lol. For me, it's not a problem with getting it straight - I do have to go over it with straighteners because its sooo super curly and stubborn - mines a problem with the weather in England. Because its so damp all the time, even if I managed to get it straight just from blow drying, it wouldn't matter, because the damp air just makes it turn into a giant frizz ball. I find that going for something that isn't dead straight and sleek, like a big volumised look with rollers, it doesn't matter if it goes a little bit frizzy or curls up a bit more because its not so noticeable with that style... Also I think it looks much nicer on me than straight hair anyway, so I don't feel like I'm missing out :)
