Fake Tan That Actually Works?

I'm sooo pale and I never tan and all fake tan products that I've tried have never worked either :(! Such a waste of money! So is there any fake tans out there which work that don't cost an arm and a leg? Ones you can get from boots/superdrug would be great thanks x
