One thing to remember before you choose a crazy color. First- go to a professional. And second- red and black are the 2 most difficult colors to get out of the hair. So when its all said and done- and one person says they dont like it- then you decide you dont like it.. Its a bitch to remove. I cant stand color correction, especially anything having to removing black or red. Think about it before you rush and do it. If anything- you can have both colors foiled in instead of all over color.

And trust me on this. Ive been a colorist for 25 yrs.. I wouldnt bs you. Ask any professional anywhere and they would tell you the same thing. :)

Oh of course I would be getting it done by a professional, I seem to like it in the picture I made but i won't ever know for sure if it will turn out like that, also I talked to my hair dresser and she said she would have to strip the black out of my hair then dye it red. Ill defiantly think about for awhile before I spend the money to do it.

I also head some things about stripping your hair which I'm not sure if they are true, it is bleaching your hair right? And I also heard it hurts to have done?!

What she could do is foil your hair with a high level of bleach and then tone it with the red you desire. I just did that to a client recently. Her nat color was the darkest brown you can imagine- it looked awesome. Thats what you should do.

The only reason i said talk to your stylist is because people think its so easy to color your own hair. I wouldnt even do that and look what i do for a living. Just sayin.. :)

Heh yeah I've started going to a professional to get my hair dyed black, also because I wanted a better dye than just box dye, it would never stay in my hair aha
