Not a ring, just like a cute stud. Does it hurt? And, does it matter which side to have it pierced? Does it get infected easily? Help please.

You'll feel some pain but its not unbearable and its over really quick. Doesn't matter which side, whichever you prefer. I wouldn't say it gets infected easily. However you may get these small bumps that appear from time to time. Don't panic, they'll go away. Just continue to clean it, and use a little tea tree oil.

Does the stud irritate the inside of your nose?

it doesnt hurt and it heals fast. the stud does not irritate your nose because its short.

Nope! After you get the piercing, you'll prob forget its even there. You don't feel anything. So be careful when touching your face, depending on how they bend the ring inside your nose, you can't knock it out.

I like the L shape stud because it keeps it there but you kind of have to check it to make sure it isnt showing lol

It doesn't hurt too bad. Afterwards it might me sore (mine was) just make sure you clean it as much as your piercer tells you to. I took my nose piercing out a few years ago, but enjoyed having it :)

Do most jobs make you. take it out? And if you do take it out, doesn't it close up really fast?

lots of jobs are ok with them but every place is different I've had mine for 10 years and took it out all the time before it was healed(not a good idea) make sure you let it heal and you should be fine there are also different types of nose rings I like the ones you bend yourself or the bone ones that are straight with a little ball on the end my only complaint about them is sometimes the ball is bigger then other rings so it can hurt a tiny bit to put in or after awhile the skin on the inside of your nose can heal a bit tight and it hurts a little to take out not all just some but its really an easy piercing to have

i haven't had mine done (the one in the pic is a fake) but side IS important. Make sure it is always opposite the side your hair falls on (my hair goes to the right-ring is on the left) People tend to smile in the direction of their hair and since your head is turned if you got it in the same direction it wouldn't be as visible. i wish i knew this when i got my cartilage done..i even asked the lady who did my piercing! it's always covered by my hair now :( good luck!

It's the kind of pain that makes your eye water. Doesn't hurt much after that. The rings can hurt the inside of your nose depending on the shape. I've been scratched by the straight ones before. I prefer the L shaped ones because they are flat on the bottom, so they won't poke you. the ones with the ball at the bottom can hurt, or get stuck, it's usually advised that you don't use those until your piercing is well healed. I got one stuck in my nose once, had to use nail slippers to cut the jewel off. And be prepared to have it ripped out a tome or two. I've had mine ripped out three times in the year ove had it. Once by a towel and twice by shirts. I agree with the hair parting thing, and keep in mind any other facial piercings you may get. All in all its a fairly easy piercing to have.

Do I just ask for the L shaped piercing?

Definitely do it...I've had many piercings and this is the one that I still love to this day. I've had it for about 7 years and it still gets difficult to get back in if I leave it out for a while so I don't suggest taking it out for anything without a clear retainer. Love love it! Such a cute piercing

My nose was damn near unbearable. The rest of you were lucky. L-shaped posts are a pain to get in at first, but once they're in they don't move around. You can tell your piercer what shape jewelery you prefer and they'll work with that.

Oh nd mine hurt like hell but I went to some shady NYC place that took me under 18 lol. Everyone else says it was painless. So make sure you're going somewhere reputable lol

When you get it pierced they will put one that is longer in to account for swelling, they will likely bend it into am L type shape, after that, it's up to you to decide which type you like. For me, the type with the ball hurt to put in, hurt to take out, and have gotten stuck, but they are the least problematic if it get hung on something. Just come right out. For me, the twisted type is nearly impossible to get in, a pain to take out, and I imagine it does the most damage if pulled out. The L shape are, for me, the easiest to put in and take out, it DOES hurt of it gets ripped out, but it doesn't destroy your piercing and you can put it right back in with little pain. I've never put a nose ring in of any type that didn't have some pain, going in and coming out, and I've had mine pierced for more than a year. But it's minor pain and if you really want it it is worth it.

Yes it hurts your eye will tear up and studs can be notorious for getting caught on everything and being pulled out

Pierce your nose on the side where you part your hair. So on the opposite side where your bangs lay. My sister's bled a LOT but she loves it now and it looks cute. Just be careful of your nose after you get it pierced and remember that when you play with your nose ring, it looks like you're picking your nose.
