I use a kohl liner for every day with a liner brush to smudge and a gel liner for more formal occasions.

i prefer pencil eyeliners as they're much easier to manouvre. currently am using maxfactor's eyeliner. its great :)

Kohl seems to run very easy after the day wears on. MAC's PowerPoint pencils go on nice and smooth and stay put. I also recommend Urban Decay's 24/7 glide on pencils. They are super saturated in color and stay put very good as well. Plus the array of color choices is super great!
