I have had oily skin for most of my life. I have to wash my face every few hours because I hate feeling shiny. Obviously foundations and concealers don't last. I use face washes at least twice a day to no avail. Any products you can recommend? Are their medications or natural remedies?

First of all oily skin or not you should only wash your face TWICE A DAY any more then that and your skin will dry out and in return will create more oil. I can't stress that enough. Try witch hazel as your toner, is balances the oh in your face after washing and fights oil black heads white heads and all that stuff. Also try jojoba oil as your moisturizer. I know you probably think I'm crazy but it matches the oil that your skin naturally needs therefore your face doesn't feel the need to create more oil then necessary. And for under your makeup try a thin layer of milk of magnesia is great at fighting oil under makeup.

I use a mixture of equal, parts water and equal parts apple cider vinegar. Apply twice a day with a cotton ball. here is my routine: wake up, wash my face using burts bees acne wash, then use the apple cider vinegar toner. This helps me a lot!!!

agree with BRITTNE B, over washing your face (more then 2x a day) is the worse thing to do for oily skin, you should avoid heavy cream, use light weight moisturizer or only use toner/ serum as your moisturizer. If it gets too oily, you can first spray some hydrating mist, then blot it off so your skin won't dry out and produce even more sebum.

At night use jojoba oil or bio oil on your face before bed. You can rotate them every day. In the morning use a toner before you moisturizer, a really good lotion is from MAC oil control lotion! Only wash your face twice a day!:)

I disagree with using oil on your face as a moisturizer unless you have some dry spots. I agree with the others that you are over washing your face. Ever tried blotting tissues?
