I know someone with the same hair type as you and she uses a round brush, coconut oil and a blow dryer after she gets out of the shower. Her hair is very long so she does huge curls and they literally stay like that dor days, even through sleep! You may could try doing something similar so it lasts longer and you have a little volume.

My natural curl after I got it dyed the ombré! I like to wash it and put some moisturizer in it then scrunch it with my hands. That's pretty much all I do for styling it because then I let it air dry so as to not damage it. Curls are more delicate than other hair!
