Styling with a flat iron

I usually don't do anything to my hair because it air dries so straight, but when I style my bangs with a straightener my hair gets fried and kind of fizzle-y (not a real term, I know). What can I do to stop that from happening??! It looks horrible..

@kelsi, I do. It's called 12 benefits. But I've tried sooo many things! I don't use an extremely high heat either, usually I set it at 275

Umm maybe try not to straighten the pieces as much? Or after your done add some product like bed head after party or morrocan oil because they will make your hair smooth:) i flat iron my hair alot because my natrual hair is puffy waves .
