I'm 14 now and my hair was past my butt. I got 18 inches cut off ( to above my shoulders) and donated it to a place that makes wigs for kids with cancer... Let me tell you it was the greatest feeling, not only knowing that my hair was going to a good cause but such long hair (for me anyways) is a nuisance! It was always in a braid which I got really bored of and I was happy for the change.

I wouldn't cut it coz I regret it but trim it to keep healthy. If your cutting a lot of I would say do what Kelly M did + donate rather then it going into a bin :) I like long hair coz there's so much you can do with it :) xxxx

I cut my hair really short and I didn't like it an it took a while to grow back. But anyway you cut it or not it's going to look great if you're confident

Just remember that hair usually grows a 1/2" per month. If you really want it that length, go for it. If you're not sure, wait a little while and think about it. But if you do, maybe you can donate it also. =)

i personally think that past your waist is too long. you should cut it so it's a bit shorter, just a few inches.

My hair is hitting my waist now and I've chopped it several times over the years. Never regretted it at all because 1)its hair....it will grow back 2) when it's shorter its less work to maintain. If you do decide to chop I would seriously consider donating to locks of love. I did it and will do it again this summer....its a great feeling to help someone else.

I shaved (i mean totally shaved) my head and hated it for a long time until my hair grew to the length it was when I cut it off. I think I regretted it because it was such a dramatic length change, if you don't cut much it shouldn't be an issue.

You would probably regret it! don't cut it unless you are a 100% sure of the fact that you will like it and are willing to wait a couple of years until it maybe will be back to the length!
