Hang up posters or take a really cute bikini and hang it up in front of you (if your goal was to loose wait to look good in your bikini). Also keep track of your weight and how much you are loosing because that can definitely motivate you to want to loose more weight. Be very positive & patient. These sort of things don't happen overnight.

Hi Marcelina, i agree it is hard to get motivated to exercise however my favourite tip to exercise is music. Make a playlist of your favourite songs that are also feel-good & encouraging such as; lmfao- sexy and i know it, beyonce - run the world, rihanna - where have you been.

I join sports, which force me to work out as a commitment to my team. I also look at pictures of both extremely unhealthy, obese people and super fit bodybuilding figures. But in the end, I'm my own motivator. I love working out, I love staying fit. I love that I'm adding years to my life whenever I lift those barbells.

Caffeine pills. I know it sounds bad but whenever I take them I feel like I can run the world lol.

For me to get motivated I made a fitness tumblr (if you want to look, mine is http://fit-kim-strong-kim.tumblr.com/) It's a really positive atmosphere where it doesn't matter where you're starting and how big or small your goal is.
One thing I learned is to challenge yourself, be your own motivation, and pick a specific goal with a specific deadline. Also remember you're getting healthy and adding years onto your life. There are fitness experts on there and nutritionist experts and normal people, you can literally ask them anything and they'll tell you from experience or knowledge.

I think that joining sports is a great idea! In high school I did swim & water polo for three years and it really helped me maintain a healthy weight and diet. But if you're not in high school, I know that there are plenty of fitness classes available at colleges. Recently I've had to exercise on my own and it's really hard ! But what gets me going is asking myself if I will be happy with how I am/look/feel 2, 5, or 6 months from now. Also remember to stay positive (: don't expect to see results quickly but also don't get discouraged by that. I hope everything works out well for you :)!!

I don't it by doing it with my best friend, trips to the gym actually became lots of fun! I always got bored on my own. Make yourself a goal and set a date in which u want to achieve it. Gyms offer real fun classes like Zumba which we absolutely love and I lost 3 stone :)

I write little notes and hang them everywhere. Also there are lots of motivating stuff on tumblr, i download them and set as wallpaper. You can own one too :] You just need to remember why you should workout, rest comes itself.

Music Music Music...keep music on in your house, car, where ever u can. Dancing to your fav songs gives u a great workout with out making you overly exhausted. The process might be slow at first but don't expect it to happen over night! Good luck

DO NOT compare yourself to others. I personally believe that is sucky motivation because everyone can't look like a model, whether you lose weight or not. Aim for your best "you", not someone else's best.
Find something that you like to do, that qualifies as exercise too. Don't force yourself to do something you don't enjoy because it'll be too easy to give up.

I need awesome music or else I can't work out! I find great dance music and listen to it while I run, this sounds dumb but I feel like I'm dancing at the club I my mind when I do this! I find it really fun and effective because I look forward to the gym now as a chance to move to energetic music. You can find 30min work out mixes on YouTube! Just search "dance music work out mix" or something. Good luck!
