No, mac is a great brand. Is it the best no, but more budget friendly than most high end.

Yes, they are completely overpriced. They wish they were high end. They're more like middle end and even the quality of their products now don't deserve the middle-end title. Anything before To The Beach and Liberty Of London was fine, but now they're too busy pumping out four to five collections a season, having limited stock, and not putting work into the formula. Even the permanent line has been going down. You'd be better off spending your money on a different brand.

I hate the Mac hype, their foundations are garbage and clog pores terribly. Their lipstick isn't much better than what you can find at the drug store. Their eyeshadows have lots of colours and are decent but too expensive. Their mascaras suck. Over all I wish Estée Lauder didn't completely ruin the line. I'm almost convinced that Estée Lauder stole some of macs old formulations and are now selling them as Estée Lauder foundations (which are awesome).

I love Mac lipsticks and lip glass. And their surf baby line. They are slightly over priced but the quality of those are really nice.

It's overrated, it clogs your pores and its so heavy and cakey looking! well the foundations at least and their lipsticks suck for the price! the colors are nice but the quality is TERRIBLE.

i should add that while i love mac products, i do not use liquid foundation. i don't need heavy coverage and if i want more coverage i just put the pro longwear concealer on my whole face..
