Beauty Blender.. Yay Or Nay?

I've been putting off trying the beauty blender sponge because I wasn't sure if it was just a gimmick... What do you guys think of it??

I have a knock-off version of the $20 one and I love it! It makes my skin look absolutely flawless, but soak it in water first, because it tends to absorb most of your product and the water will prevent that. It also minimizes the appearance of pores, because it's pores rubbing against pores, basically. I really like mine, but my only concern is washing it. It gets a lot of bacteria in it, so I wash mine quite often.
