Oh man, I have been smoking for about 11 years now and I am currently trying to quit for good after smoking/quitting on and off over the past 13 months. The first time I tried quitting I actually lost weight. The second time I stopped (I stopped for a lot longer this time) I did not gain or lose any weight. My weight is constantly fluctuating, so I don't know if I am a good example. I also never noticed a change in my complexion.

I am putting my first new patch on in attempts to quit tomorrow, so I will pay attention to these things to see how they are affected!

Thanks Natalie. I've been smoking for about 7 years now, and I have asthma. I've noticed it getting worse and I really want to be healthy now, maybe it's a sign of growing up? Haha I'm not sure. My mum gained a lot of weight when she finally stopped and is only just getting it off now after about 2 years. Good luck to you! Hope it works!

usually you gain weight when you give up because your body is trying to find another addiction and food is normally what people turn to. and as for complextion it gets better, at first it might not be because you're detoxing and sweating out all the toxins, but my mom looked so much younger and healthier when she quit. just remember weight gained can be lost and the benefits if quitting smoking are well worth it. good luck!
