Well it getting infected it how you take care of it. Plus the way your body reactions to a foreign object. In meaning will it accept it of try to get rid of it

I got mine done when I was 15, and it didnt get infected. However, the only ways to try to avoid infection are getting it done at a professional, clean shop with a good reputation. As well as proper aftercare, which your piercer should explain to you. As far as getting your mom to let you, maybe save up your money to get it done and explain to her that you have done alot of research on how to care for it and that you understand any possible risk on infection. Knowing that you are making an informed choice might help your mom see it from your POV.
