I have tried many times to get gradient nails but it always looks like 2 blocks of colour and is never gradient, how do you do it?!?

i paint my nails two coats of white and use a makeup sponge to dab on one color at a time and then wait for it to dry and then do the next color.

Take a makeup sponge and paint the color you want your gradient in directly on the sponge, then sponge a light layer about 3/4 down the nail, then about 1/2 way up your nail, sponge it on a little darker, and on the very tip, make it even darker, blend it together with a topcoat or glitter coat. :) hope this helps!
