Does Keratin/Pernament Straightenning Work?

have very frizzy curly thick hair and my hairdresser suggested getting the keratin treatement either straightenned or just a treatement. whos tried it and did it work/is it worth it?

Keratin is the same protein that your hair is made up of. It basically restructure the follicle and smooths everything out - but it's not really permanent. You have to have it redone every 8 weeks or so, unlike a perm or relaxer. Think of it as a shellac on your hair instead of your nails.

I suppose it's worth it if you're willing to maintain it. 

There are treatments that can last several months. I suggest keragreen by organic salon systems. It's formaldehyde free.

It does make your hair straighter but when I had it done I had to start washing my hair everyday because it looks incredibly dirty by just the second day. Also it gave me split ends.. Right now I'm searching for another place to get it done and hopefully not get this side effects you.you.
