Okay ladies, let's be honest, we all have more than what we need. How do you purge your makeup collection when feeling guilty? What are your rules? If you've done it in the past, please do share your experiences. :)

If I haven't touched an item in over a year I give it up. I go thru a purge at least once a year and everything that is still in good condition I donate to my local domestic violence (except for used lip products) shelter. A lot of stuff I've received for free due my husband's job so I don't feel guilty about about letting those items go. I usually do one final swatch to see if its worth keeping and few make the cut.

Lately, it's been really easy to purge because most of my old collection because the companies tested on animals and I was changing my personal policy on that :] Otherwise duplicates, things I used less than once a month, and expired items were all either sanitized and given to friends or thrown away/ :]

What about no buys?

I don't purge because I always regret afterwards. I take good care of my stuff and sometimes I'll go back to a palate even years later and use it till I hit pan.

I need to a do a no buy for at least 6 months. I've been buying stuff every other day lately and its insane. Especially with eye colors. I've gone completely mad.lol.
