Right, I have fairly long toenails and like them like that but if I knock them they hurt a bit. How long are you meant to have them?

Well, it's all preference really. My mother likes her toenails long, but I have always liked to keep them short. Especially for reasons of them hitting things and snagging socks or something.
If you like and prefer them long, it isn't wrong to have them that way. :)

i prefer short toenails. not only for the look but also when they're long and im walking sometimes they hurt cos they'll be pressed against the shoe. i just hate that, personally.

I keepone short because I have sliced my leg with them in my sleep before.
