My gel nails last around 3 weeks usually also if you wanna save some money the sensationail at home gel manicure kit is really great!! Whenever I don't feel like going to get them done or whatever I use that, it's a really great product. Definitely worth the money :)

I say acryllics. Ive had mine for a while and never have I broken any. To me they look more natural than gel. No ones nails are the pink color that gel comes out as, the acryllics are clear so it shows the color of your real nail. They both 'ruin' your nails, but it doesnt last more than a few days. Gels are more expensive too. Ive always not liked gel, Ive had only acryllics. Just my opinion though. :)

GEL, GEL, GEL!! I got acrylic tips done 2 months ago and it completely ruined my nails. My nails were paper thin and brittle when I took them off. They are just finishing growing out to a healthy state right now so in a week or so I'm head to the nail salon to get gel nails instead of acrylic.. Never again, never again.

Shellac! It wears really well and is so gentle on your nails. The only problem is you can't add any length. But it's so much better for your nails.

I agree with Kristen L.! Gel always look more natural, plus they are more flexible like a natural nail! There is some give, whereas acrylic has really no give at all!
