Alisa, you're right about the potassium in bananas helping cramps! My dad gets bad leg cramps and our doctor advised him to try eating a banana a day to help. He doesn't need to take his muscle relaxers as often since he's started with that. I'm not sure if it would help with menstrual cramps since obviously my dad doesn't get those, but it could be worth a shot.

Even though you might not feel like it, exercise (not too strenuous) should help. Works for me.

Half information is still misinformation. You run into this in medicine alot. Crazy truth tho.... Many medicines are based on "folk" remades where the ingredient that causes the relief/ change with those kinda of medicine is isolated and much of the toxicity is removed because exact dosing can happen. I could come on here and say a lot of things, by I'll simply say spreading half the information without actually knowing what you are talking about is a little like saying "the government has the cure for cancer, but they are not giving t to you so that big pharma can make money"..... Medications make life easier. If you dot want to be in pain, why wouldn't you take a cox inhibitor? Inflammation goes down. Histamine release goes down, you get less...... Come on people. And yeah, lots of medications can screw you up. But sinking an herbal tea with lots of rose hips in it can cause spontaneous abortions. Guabana fruit is linked to an increase in Parkinson's disease..... So on and so forth.
