whenever I curl my lashes and apply my mascara, my eyelashes look clumped together and like spiders legs, is it the mascara I use or can I apply it differently??

Buy a mascara with spread out bristles.

When applying mascara, be sure to wiggle the wand at the roots, so your eyelashes will separate and not clump together!

Mascaras with silicone bristles like cover girls Lash Blast are amazing at getting rid of clumps!

Also what I like to do, is have a disposable mascara wand on hand. This allows you to take off any excess mascara that might be clumping. You can always grab a few at your favorite makeup counter. I also use a disposable mascara wand before even applying mascara to untangle my lashes.

Make sure your mascara isn't old or dried out. The stuff has a shelf life of MAYBE 3 months, if you're lucky. You can sometimes rescue some dried mascara by putting a few drops of saline solution in the tube, but old mascara will clump terribly no matter what.

Separate them with the tip of an earring, and I would recommend Mabelline mascara, it tends to volumize and separate evenly:)

When applying second coat of mascara, wait til the first coat is completely dry.
