Hey guys really want to invest in some quality makeup brushes!

Just want to know what the essential ones are?

And what is a good but affordable brand to purchase from?

Thanks x

Real Techniques. They usually come in packs of 4 or 5 for about $17. Then there's individuals for less (usually). I love the ones I have and I'm planning to buy more in the near future

We've got the Billy B brushes available here on Beautylish. The nice thing about them is that their small and light (easy for travel) and they are a small set, so you have everything you need with just a small group of brushes. He uses them for everything he does (literally) and nothing else, which is kind of awesome. They're the only brushes I've used for the past few years and they do everything I need them to do. Highly recommended! (on his boutique page, you can watch some videos where he describes how he designed them and why).

I think that ecotools are some really good brushes I've had mine for a year now..they are affordable & great! You can usually get them at Walmart or a rite aid..they look like bamboo on the part where you hold them (:

I got the Sedona Lace Vortex Collection brushes on Black Friday. I believe normally they're almost $80. It has every brush you need to start out.

e.l.f! They have really good brushes, IF you buy from Studio Line, not Essential Line. And they are reeeaaally cheap! :-) I especially love their Stipple Brush.

Not sure about brands but you seem to have lots of suggestions haha. As far as actual brushes I'd say a bronzer/blush brush is essential, as well as an eyeshadow brush or two (there's tons of these so just pick what you like. A blendy brush would be good too), a powder brush if you use powder. Lots of it is mostly just personal preference. Look at the kinds of make up you use and find brushes to suit what you apply daily.

Coastal scents has an amazing brush kit. If your just using it for personal use or even starting off in makeup artistry. But if you are able to invest more sigma has great sets as well
