I'm looking for a palette or collection of eyeshadows to do a fairly easy smokey eye, which do you recommend?
Any other eyeshadows that you love, not specifically for a smokey eye look?
I also have a hard time making eyeshadow last past a few hours, any recommendations on anything to help me?  Thanks!

How much are willing to pay? Two face, Urban Decay, Sephora, Lorac have some good palettes for easy smokey eyes. Affordable NYX, Wet N' Wild, L'Oreal, Sleek, ELF have some palettes. When I do a smokey eye I honestly use one color over my lids and blend is up with a transitional color. A natural smokey eye I use my Vanity Palette. As far as your eyeshadow having staying power, you should use a primer. Elf, Two Face, Urban Decay have the well known ones. You can also check out Mac's paint pots.
I hope this helps :-)

Honestly my 2 goto pallets for the traditional smokey eye are the too faced matte pallet, or the naked basics. I also have a customized smokey eye pallet I made from inglot.

there's really no difference between the generic like Claire's or the more expensive brands of urban decay. the chemical composition and like all the powders and stuff are pretty much identical the only thing you're paying for the packaging. so I usually just go to cleaners and get like a little kits they're fantastic
