If your eyeliner is liquid throw it away if the smell becomes very profound, but powder products will last a long while as long as you keep the brushes that your dipping into the products clean.

How important is it really to change out blush, eyeliner, powder foundation, etc? I use Mary Kay mostly & don't see any so called "effects" from it being old.
